To all the people in my life

One of the women i work with has a daughter who is dying. She called today to let us know that it is a matter of hours. Her daughter is 36 with two kids. There is nothing much to say besides Joyce is on my mind.
Never assume the people in your life know how much you appreciate them.
The only thing people want is to know they are important to one other person.It doesn't matter if it's your partner, child or the cashier at the grocery store, all we are looking for in this life is to make that connection with one other person who will make us feel like the center of the universe if only for a few minutes.

Hug the people you love. Make eye contact. Smile. Connect.

You are incredible, my love. I still shake my head sometimes, to see you sitting on the futon, legs tucked under you, typing away to someone, sometimes even at me, unable to believe my luck.

This is so true, and thank you for taking the time here to say so.

This message really hit me when my Dad passed this year. I had no regrets about my time with him, but I saw many family members who did and really struggled with his loss as a result. It was painful.

Love is the very best stuff we have, and we often forget to shower our lovies with it at every chance we get. Don't let "life" get in the way of loving you friends and family: It's far too precious to waste.
