Slowly an idea has been seeping into my brain, I have stopped learning. I read things. Sexy science things, current event things, fancy book learning things but it doesn't feel like I am retaining anything. It's as though the capacity to retain anything more than 420 characters long. I have lost the trick of retention. LIfe for so long was a series of survival tactics. What happens when you are simply trying to keep your head afloat is that you do only what needs to be done and then move on to the next necessary thing. This is how it is in my brain. Learn the minimum to do something then move on to the next factoid.

It's time to slow down. To relearn how to learn. The internets have made me slower and age has not helped.Gotta fix that.
