This morning Pinky and I went to visit mom and speak with the doctors about when the Gtube was going to get put in, the aftercare etc etc. When we got there the doctors spoke to mom. She consented to the surgery, asked all the questions she wanted to ask. Normal routine kinda stuff. We left, I called Debbie, filled her in and went to work. So far so good.

Tonight was cleaning night at the house. We decided yesterday that cleaning the house so there was less risk of infection was a brilliant idea so today was the start of clean up day. When I got there Deb pulled me aside and told me that when she walked in the house Andrea was trying to tell her that she (andrea) had "made a little boo boo".As she was trying to tell Deb the phone rang and it was mom. Debbie started to speak to her and mom went off the wall on her. Asking her why we were taking over, changing things around in her house,giving out keys and a few other things. Deb explained we were not taking over or changing things that we were cleaning and getting the house set for her to come home after the Gtube gets put in. Mom told her she wasnt getting the Gtube but was going to come home tomorrow and see how well she could get around the house and try to eat on her own first then she would go get the tube put in and go back to radiation.Then she started grilling Debbie about the keys to which Deb said we weren't giving out keys , yesterday we just asked who had one and I needed to replace mine so I took one of the kids to make copies. Deb then reminded her we told her we were going to do this and that we were going to come over and make sure she was eating even if it meant having sleepovers like we used to. She got very quiet then told Deb she had to go because they were coming with her medication.

So.. we are BACK to square one. She is coming home tomorrow - no GTube, no radiation except at some vague later date.

Do I think she is coming home because of Andrea told her we were forcing her out? yes
Do I think she is going to seek further medical treatment? no
Am I very angry? yes
Will I go speak to her tomorrow and ask her what is going on? hell yes

I tried calling her tonight as soon as I spoke to Deb and she seemed very calm but did not mention any of the issues that she spoke to Deb about. Then again.... she was medicated at that point so who knows.

*sigh* Here we go.. round 12. *ding*

Tell you're mom that the Gtube is the only way that she'd be able to be on her own and not be sheltered like a teenager and she'd have freedom.
Maybe she'd understand.
