The grapes of wrath?
Apr. 13th, 2011 07:21 pmFor years I have wanted to grow grapes. Some of my fondest memories as a child are of the grapes that grew up along the wall at our house. Last year I discovered that those grapes were fox grapes or frost grapes. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vitis_labrusca
As I sat here thinking about what to put in the ground this year and wondering what kind of grapes I would try to grow to duplicate that fox grape taste... thinking about how those are wild grapes and they grow everywhere here and what a pity I can't just have those as they used to grow wild right here in the yard.. as a matter of fact the ones my BIL cut down for my mom actually took behind the fence in the backyard...
yes i really am that slow some times. lol
wild grapes I have and wild grapes I will cultivate.
Slow but cute so it all balances out. honest.
