Polling the Flist

Two nights ago Ben decided he wanted to sleep on the spot I keep my laptop. He pushed it onto the floor and damaged not only the power cord but I think the hard drive too. So this means it's laptop shopping time.

My dilemma is this - MacBook or not. The downside to a MacBook is of course the price. The downside to a regular laptop is of course Vista.

Tell me your thoughts oh flist. Which do you have? Which to you prefer? Suggestions? Hints ? Advice?
